G20 leaders gather for China summit

On September 4-5, 2016, the Chinese city of Hangzhou is hosting the 11th Group of 20 summit.

Due to the summit, Hangzhou became a meeting point for the leaders of the 20 countries, including the United States, Germany, France, Canada, Russia, as well as leaders of the EU, the IMF and other major institutions.

In addition, the summit is being attended by the heads of a number of invited countries, including Spain, Kazakhstan, Singapore, and others.

On the first day of the summit, there was a general meeting of the leaders of the participant countries, as well as a number of bilateral meetings.

In particular, the situation in Ukraine was on the agenda of bilateral meetings between U.S. President Barack Obama, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, and French President Francois Hollande with Russian President Vladimir Putin. However, the results of these meetings have not been disclosed.

In addition, on the evening of September 4 there was a gala concert to celebrate the opening of the summit, as well as the taking of photographs of the participants.
