Poland sees great importance in observing the principle of countries' sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Polish Foreign Minister Jacek Czaputowicz says Poland stands for the deployment of a UN peacekeeping mission in Donbas since this is important for its own security.
Speaking about Ukraine after the ministerial debates at the UN Security Council in New York on Wednesday, Czaputowicz noted that he would welcome the UN decision to also participate in the resolution of conflict in eastern Ukraine by deploying peacekeeping forces in the area, PAP reports.
"It's difficult to reach an agreement on the issue, but the work is ongoing... Poland is one of the most active countries to this end, because the situation in Ukraine is very important for the security of our country," Czaputowicz said.
