A 46-year-old Volodymyr Balukh, a Ukrainian activist and recognized political prisoner, who was sentenced in the annexed Crimea for "storing ammunition", has announced an indefinite hunger strike.
According to the Crimean Human Rights Group, the move is a show of protest against the verdict.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the court also ordered that Balukh pay a 10,000-ruble ($175) fine.
