The statement came during a Thursday meeting of the Parliamentary Regulations Committee where the deputies consider the issue of allowing prosecutors to bring MP Nadiia Savchenko to criminal responsibility.
The Russian Federation provided weapons to be used in terrorist attacks against Ukraine's top leadership, Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko said.
"We have facts that prove participation of the Russian Federation, as an enemy of the Ukrainian state, in providing weapons to persons who plotted and were preparing to commit a terrorist act against the top leadership of the state and civilians in the capital city with the aim of overthrowing the constitutional order," he said, according to 112 Ukraine.
The statement came during a Thursday meeting of the Parliamentary Regulations Committee where the deputies considered the issue of allowing prosecutors to bring MP Nadiia Savchenko to criminal responsibility.

Savchenko was on March 15 expelled from the parliament's national security and defense committee. On the same day, Ukrainian Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko tabled in parliament a motion for the criminal prosecution, detention, and arrest of MP Savchenko.
