The politician says Moldova will continue demanding Russian withdrawal from Transnistria.
In the near future, Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia may file a joint suit against Russia, said Speaker of the Moldovan Parliament, Adrian Candu.
“But before that it will be necessary for the international community to assess the losses of the above-mentioned countries from the occupation of territories and form a judicial case against the Kremlin,” he said, according to Georgia Today.
“The withdrawal of Russian troops has yet to be discussed between us and Transnistria; it should be discussed at a higher level,” he added. “We need to demand more decisive actions from the US, the EU, and the OSCE.”
The Moldovan politician did not specify to which international court the governments intend to file claims regarding the Kremlin's aggression, but he did claim that Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia stood to get “billions” in case they won the suit.

“We continue to demand more action from the international community,” Candu added. “In the following months, we want to achieve a UN decision on the withdrawal of Russian troops from Transnistria. Of course, Russia will not do it tomorrow, but this is another legal instrument to that effect,” Candu stated.
Earlier, Ukrainian Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak vowed assistance to Moldova in restoring its territorial integrity, in particular, for the return of the self-proclaimed “Transnistria.”
