New deputy chief monitor appointed to OSCE Special Monitoring Mission in Ukraine

The Organization hopes her experience will contribute to the Mission's efforts in resolving the crisis.

OSCE Special Monitoring Mission in Ukraine has announced the appointment of a new Deputy Chief Monitor, Antje Grawe.

"Antje Grawe joins OSCE SMM as Deputy Chief Monitor," the Mission's press service reported via Twitter.

It is noted that"Antje has strong background in conflict prevention and resolution, having served in Afghanistan, Haiti, Pakistan, and Yemen."

The SMM believes the new official will bring her "experience to the Mission’s efforts towards resolving the crisis in and around Ukraine."

As UNIAN reported earlier, Britain's Mark Etherington was appointed OSCE SMM Deputy Chief Monitor on November 1, 2018, after the term of his predecessor, Alexander Hug, expired.
