Ukraine election: Poroshenko leads in foreign constituencies

Leader of the Civil Position Party, Anatoliy Hrytsenko, is third at the moment with 9.89% of the votes.

Ukrainians who have voted abroad in the course of the presidential election put in the lead the incumbent President Petro Poroshenko, while the runner-up is showman Volodymyr Zelensky, the Central Election Commission reported following the count of 80.19% of the votes early Monday.

Poroshenko has so far received 37.55% of votes in his support, while Volodymyr Zelensky saw 27.03%.

The self-nominated Ihor Smeshko received 6.39%, followed by co-chairman of the Opposition Platform – For Life Party Yuriy Boyko (5.38%), leader of the Batkivshchyna Party Yulia Timoshenko (4.15%); candidate from the Svoboda Party Ruslan Koshulynsky (4.05%), and candidate from the Opposition Bloc – the Party of Peace and Development Oleksandr Vilkul (2.10%).

The remaining candidates have less than 1% of votes in foreign constituencies.

A total of 33,550 votes were cast abroad in 101 polling stations across foreign constituencies.
