Petraeus expresses support for Ukraine in its further advancement through democratic development.
Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine Oleksandr Danyliuk held a meeting with member of the Atlantic Council's Board of Directors David Petraeus, during which the parties discussed the progress of reforming the security and defense sector.

"The parties discussed the progress made in reforming the security and defense sector, first of all, the SBU Security Service of Ukraine, as well as a set of measures for reforming the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations established in accordance with the laws of Ukraine," according to the NSDC's press service.
Particular attention was paid to the issue of fighting corruption in Ukraine, it said.
