Danyliuk sees this event as another act of the Kremlin's provocation.
Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine Oleksandr Danyliuk has commented on a Russia-Ukraine TV link-up announced by the Ukrainian NewsOne TV channel and the Russian propaganda Russia-1 TV channel.
"They offer us a link-up between the Kremlin's propaganda and its Kyiv-based branch and call it a 'breakthrough' in relations between the 'fraternal' nations," Danyliuk wrote on Facebook.

"Please stop the outrage. Especially [it refers to] those who in recent years from the position of the president have contributed to strengthening the position of Putin's ally in Ukraine [Viktor] Medvedchuk [whose daughter counts Russian President Vladimir Putin as her godfather]," he wrote on Facebook.
According to Danyliuk, "comparing this misunderstanding with the U.S.-USSR teleconference in 1986, between different ideologies and propaganda machines, is a cheap manipulation."
He assured the government was ready to respond to this provocation.
"As a strong country, we must react confidently, without unnecessary emotions and panic. Because that's exactly what they expect. The number of such provocations will only be growing. We need to keep a cool head. We are working on solutions," Danyliuk said.
As reported earlier, Russian propagandist Dmitry Kiselyov announced the so-called "Need to Talk" TV link-up between the Russian propaganda Russia-1 TV channel and the Ukrainian NewsOne TV channel for July 12. The Ukrainian TV channel is actually owned by Medvedchuk, chairman of the political council of the Opposition Platform – For Life Party and the Kremlin's closest ally in Ukraine.
