The former head of the CCU has filed a resignation letter as her term in office expires this week.
The Constitutional Court of Ukraine at its meeting on Tuesday, Sept 17, dismissed its chair, Natalia Shaptala, and elected Oleksandr Tupytskiy as her successor.
That's according to a source in the Constitutional Court.
According to UNIAN's source, Shaptala's term in office of a Constitutional Court Judge was expiring this week. She has filed a letter of resignation, and the Court dismissed her.
At the time of his election, Tupytskiy was Deputy Chairman of the Constitutional Court.
As UNIAN reported earlier, on May 14, 2019, Shaptala was elected Chair of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine.
