Official demanded a bribe for undisclosure of compromising information / 1i.com.ua
The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), together with the State Border Guard Service internal security department, detained the official in his office at the moment of him receiving part of bribe worth EUR 5,000.
According to the press center of the SBU, deputy commander of the Border guard service in Chernivtsi region extorted a bribe in the amount of EUR 25,000 from his subordinate for concealing compromising information, the disclosure of which could lead to disciplinary sanctions.
Military Prosecutor's Office in Chernivtsi region opened criminal proceedings under Part 3, Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Receiving a large-scale bribe).
Further investigative actions are underway.
