Poroshenko: Fighting may resume in Donbas, army must be prepared for worst

The hostilities in the east of Ukraine may resume, and every second the military must be prepared for the worst, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said at the National Defense University of Ukraine by Ivan Cherniakhovskiy during a meeting with the commanders of military units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, according to an UNIAN correspondent.

"You must be ready to rebuff the aggressor at any time. We realize that hostilities can be resumed at any moment. I do not trust Putin and his puppets. We have to defend Ukraine in case anyone decides to test our strength,” Petro Poroshenko said.

"And while fighting for the best, the most favorable conditions for the political and diplomatic settlement, I can tell you that every moment we must be prepared for the worst," he said.
