The part of the Ukraine-EU Association Agreement regarding introduction of the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area will start working from January 1, 2016, President of the European Council Donald Tusk said after the arrival of Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko in Brussels, an UNIAN correspondent reports.
“We are making sure that the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement will enter into force as smoothly as possible from the 1st of January next year,” said Tusk.
“This will lead to the gradual economic integration of Ukraine in the EU internal market,” the official said.
