The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine voted to grant consent to the dismissal by President Petro Poroshenko of Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin (Resolution No.4122).
The move was supported by 289 Members of Parliament, according to an UNIAN correspondent.
Introducing the draft resolution, the representative of the president in parliament Stepan Kubiv recalled that the President submitted the draft to parliament on February 22.
"Shokin filed a resignation letter," he added.

Viktor Shokin was appointed Prosecutor General February 10, 2015.
