Sergey Toropov has been appointed Russia's charge d'affaires in Ukraine, the Russian Foreign Ministry told an UNIAN correspondent.
"Sergey Toropov is charge d'affaires of Russia in Ukraine," the ministry said.
As UNIAN reported earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree today, July 28, dismissing Mikhail Zurabov from his post of Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Russia to Ukraine.
Zurabov was appointed to this position on August 5, 2009.
