Republican Senator John McCain has highlighted, in a Trump-friendly manner, via Twitter, the need to provide Ukraine with lethal assistance.
Responding to the president’s earlier tweet where Mr Trump wondered whether his predecessor was too soft on Russia, McCain wrote: "Yes, he was too soft - let's take a different course together: give defensive lethal assistance to #Ukraine & keep sanctions on #Russia."
As UNIAN reported earlier, Donald Trump emphasized that it had been during Barack Obama’s cadence when Russia "took" Crimea from Ukraine. In his tweet about the annexation, Trump asked: "Was Obama too soft on Russia?"
