Odesa region's prosecutor Oleh Zhuchenko has announced that Ukrainian prosecutors together with SBU Security Service officers in Odesa region have detained a criminal gang that planned the abduction and mutilation of Oleksiy Honcharenko, a member of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc parliamentary faction.
Answering the question whether he knows where Honcharenko is at the moment, the prosecutor said: "Yes, he is in a safe place and is giving evidence as a victim."
As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukrainian Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko's press secretary Larysa Sargan announced Oleksiy Honcharenko's abduction earlier on Thursday.
