Presidential staff comments on Poroshenko’s upcoming visit to Germany

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko plans to meet German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Berlin May 20, to discuss deteriorating humanitarian situation in Donbas and possible ways to make Russia implement Minsk Agreements, presidential spokesman Svyatoslav Tsegolko wrote on Twitter.

"In Berlin, I plan to discuss the deterioration of the humanitarian situation in Donbas and find incentives for the Russian Federation to implement the Minsk agreements," the press secretary quoted the president as saying.

As UNIAN reported earlier, on May 15 Poroshenko said that he should be visiting Berlin May 20 where the talks with Angela Merkel are scheduled to be held.
