Donbas reintegration bill won't affect Minsk process – Ukraine's foreign ministry

Ukraine's First Deputy Foreign Minister Vadym Prystaiko forecasts that the bill on Donbas reintegration, which should determine the ways to restore Ukraine's sovereignty in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, will not affect the Minsk peace talks.

"I have heard about three different versions of the same [bill] with different names and different concepts. I do not directly link the draft law on reintegration, de-occupation ... with the intensification of talks in the Minsk format," Prystaiko told journalists.

"We are trying to settle [the Donbas crisis], using means of diplomacy. The bill says what we are stating about our approaches to how we will address the issue of our east," the diplomat said.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Chairman of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc parliamentary faction Artur Herasimov said that the provisions of the bill on Donbas reintegration would soon be offered to the public for debate.
