U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson during his joint press conference with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko following their meeting in Kyiv July 9 has assured the Ukrainian side that the U.S. sanctions against Russia will remain in place until Russia ceases its aggression against Ukraine, an UNIAN correspondent reports.
“The U.S. and EU sanctions on Russia will remain in place until Moscow reverses the actions that triggered these particular sanctions,” Tillerson said.

The first stage of sanctions was introduced back in March 2014, following Russia’s annexation of the Ukrainian Crimean Peninsula.
