EU heads of states and governments will consider the issues of migration and Brexit at the Brussels summit on Thursday, while Russia sanctions over its aggression against Ukraine will be the subject of discussion at the EU summit scheduled for December, a top European diplomat told an UNIAN correspondent in Brussels.
According to the European official, the mechanism for deciding on the future of sanctions will be the same as last time, i.e. the leaders will make a political decision, and then it will be adopted at the level of the Committee of Permanent Representatives and approved in a written procedure by the Council of the EU.
The agenda of the summit held on October 19-20 includes the issues of migration, defense, foreign policy (Turkey) and Brexit.
