Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin says Ukraine should make use of the European bailout plan for Ukraine, which foresees, among other things, international donors' support of Ukrainian reforms.
"Thanks to Lithuania and Linas Linkevicius for working on the European plan for Ukraine. It is a smart combination of aid and development incentives. We must be able to take advantage of it," Klimkin wrote on Twitter on November 6.
As UNIAN reported earlier, Linkevicius on Monday told 112 Ukraine TV channel that the so-called Marshall Plan for Ukraine should now be called the "European Plan."
In his words, it is not only about the funds to be allocated for Ukraine but also about assistance that has already been provided and needs to be streamlined for effective use.

UNIAN memo. At the end of March 2017, the Congress of the European People's Party adopted a resolution on the development of a long-term plan for supporting Ukraine – the so-called "Marshall Plan" for Ukraine. In June, the "Marshall Plan" for Ukraine was presented at the Lithuanian Delegation to the EU. Members of an ad hoc group on the development of the plan, former Prime Ministers of Lithuania Andrius Kubilius and Gediminas Kirkilas, took part in the presentation.
On August 18, Ukraine's Minister of Economic Development and Trade Stepan Kubiv said the New European Plan for Ukraine provided for at least EUR 5 billion in annual support from the European Union for the implementation of reforms aimed at the country's economic growth and development.
According to Kubiv, the plan is now being actively discussed by key international institutions with the aim of forming a "group of friends" of Ukraine and ensuring the required support for its implementation.
