Poroshenko releases video of Ukraine's major achievements in 2017

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko names the release Ukrainian hostages held in captivity by Russian-led militants in Donbas and the establishment of the visa-free regime with the European Union among the greatest achievements of 2017, according to the video posted on the president's Twitter account.

The president mentioned the release of 73 Ukrainian hostages kept by the militants in occupied areas in eastern Ukraine, Antonov An-132D maiden flight, large-scale highways works, the strengthening of the Ukrainian army, as well as the launch of the country's pension, educational, and medical reforms.

In addition, the video shows the great victories of Ukrainian boxers Oleksandr Usyk and Vasyl Lomachenko, and the participation of ATO veterans in Toronto's Invictus Games.

"The year 2017 turned out to be uneasy. However, we were able to prove to the whole world that Ukrainians, having united, are capable of great achievements and victories," the head of state stressed.
