Chief of the General Staff of Ukraine's Armed Forces Gen. Viktor Muzhenko expects U.S. Javelin anti-tank systems will be delivered to the Ukrainian army within six months.
"They call different terms – from two to five or six months," Muzhenko told an UNIAN correspondent in Brussels, where he is attending a meeting of the Military Committee at the level of chiefs of defense at the NATO Headquarters.
He also said he was convinced that the weapons would not fall into enemy hands.

"Nobody is going to hand [the systems] over, give away, or even, let's say, abandon them on the battlefield. This is the equipment to be introduced into the arsenal of the Ukrainian army to enhance the capabilities of the Armed Forces as an element of deterrence in countering the Russian Federation," he added.
