The Kyiv Court of Appeals has postponed hearings on the appeal filed by Ukrainian prosecutors for the review of a Kyiv Pechersky District Court verdict on a preventive measure for former Georgian president, now leader of the "Movement of New Forces" Party in Ukraine Mikheil Saakashvili, according to an UNIAN correspondent.
Saakashvili said that the hearing was postponed since one of the judges of the panel was absent on Friday, January 19, due to family circumstances.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Kyiv's Pechersky district court on December 11 turned down the prosecutor's motion to place Saakashvili, who is accused by the Ukrainian authorities of trying to stage a coup sponsored by Russia, under around-the-clock house arrest for two months.
