Four Ukrainian citizens died in a plane crash in Egypt, nine countries in Eastern and Central Europe are going to request NATO increase its regional presence, Ukraine ranks 83rd in the annual Ease of Doing Business rating by the World Bank.

Four citizens of Ukraine were killed in the crash of the Russian airliner Airbus A321 in Egypt, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. The plane crash claimed lives of 224 people, including 25 children.

Four years of imprisonment is considered adequate punishment in Russia for the production of and transactions involving crypto currency. Amendments to the Criminal Code are being drafted by the government, Russian media reported. The bill will be submitted to the State Duma in the coming months.

The OSCE Special Monitoring Mission intends to open eight additional observation posts in Donbas, as reported by the organization. The number of observers is planned to be increased to 650. Of these, 570 are to be stationed in the east of Ukraine.

Nine countries in Eastern and Central Europe are going to request NATO boost its regional presence, according to the president of Romania, foreign media reported.

Ten Ukrainians, who had been held captive by the militants for more than six months, were released from captivity, Ukrainian media reported. Only one of the freed individuals is civilian. The others are the military and the fighters from Ukraine’s volunteer battalions. According to the Presidential Envoy on the peaceful settlement of the situation in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, Iryna Gerashchenko, 139 Ukrainians remain in captivity, while 788 are reported missing.

27 Ukrainian cities prepare for a second round of mayoral elections, according to the Committee of Voters of Ukraine. According to preliminary information, the second round will take place in the capital Kyiv and 18 regional centers across Ukraine.

32 out of 65 surveyed countries showed a significant reduction in a number of online statements, which indicates decreased Internet freedom, according to a poll by Freedom House, foreign media reported. 18 countries were rated as "free," 19 - as "not free" and 28 countries were classified as "partly free." Ukraine was placed in a “partly free” section of the list.

46.62% was the voter turnout in the local elections in Ukraine, according to the Central Election Commission. Highest turnout was recorded in Ternopil (56.50%) and Lviv (56.31%) regions. The least voters cast their ballots in Donetsk (31.65%) and Luhansk (35.27%) regions. In Kyiv, 41.87% people have voted.

54 people were injured in an explosion at a munitions depot in Svatove, Luhansk region. Two people were killed, another four were injured, as reported by the local authorities. UAH 10 million from the local budget was allocated for dealing with the emergency and its aftereffects. A criminal case under Art. 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (terrorist act) was opened.

Ukraine occupies 83rd place in the annual Ease of Doing Business rating by the World Bank, published on its website. Compared with the previous year, Ukraine rose by 13 positions.

77,582 military servicemen and employees of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were granted the status of combatants, according to the Defense Ministry.
