The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is initiating the introduction of short-term (for a period of 6 months) contracts with the military, who have been called upon mobilization, with the possibility of their prolongation, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Viktor Muzhenko wrote on Facebook page on Saturday.
"This will allow anyone appreciating the benefits of military service under the contract and will provide a clear time frame of the agreement between the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the military," he said.
"After completion of the short-term contract, it will automatically be extended if the parties agree to this," Muzhenko said.
