On November 16, Chairman of Luhansk Regional Military and Civil Administration Heorhiy Tuka closed 12 internal checkpoints of the Ukrainian Interior Ministry.
"Having considered proposals from the local population and met with representatives of all agencies, it was decided to close 12 internal checkpoints of the Interior Ministry in Luhansk region," Tuka wrote on Facebook.
According to Tuka, the checkpoints were not of safeguarding character recently and only created preconditions for corruption.
