Ukrainian side in Minsk talks warns of threat of humanitarian disaster looming over Donbas

A Trilateral Contact Group on the peaceful settlement of the Donbas conflict held a video conference Thursday, focusing on a continuous operation of the Donetsk water filtration plant, according to Darka Olifer, a spokesman for Ukraine's representative at Minsk talks Leonid Kuchma.

"Because of the shelling, a number of localities may be left without water, which could lead to a humanitarian disaster," she wrote on Facebook.

According to Olifer, the Ukrainian side drew attention to the fact that the security remained the main component of the Minsk process.
