More residents of occupied Donbas willing to get Ukrainian biometric passports - NGO

The number of people wishing to get a biometric passport of a citizen of Ukraine has increased sharply in the temporarily occupied territories of Donbas, head of Information Resistance Group, military analyst and MP Dmytro Tymchuk wrote on Facebook.

"The number of people wishing to get a biometric passport of a citizen of Ukraine has increased sharply in the so-called 'LPR' and 'DPR'. Accordingly, there have been more "firms and organizations" setting up trips to the government-controlled territory of Donbas, not only for shopping and ATM services but also using the "passport factor" in attracting new customers," he wrote.

"Such 'tours' are already being organized to Mariupol, Volnovakha, Bakhmut, Kostiantynivka, Sievierodonetsk and Lysychansk, as well as Kramatorsk and Pokrovsk," Tymchuk said.
