"According to official data, no computers or automated workplaces in the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been infected with this virus [Petya A.]," Gen. Rapko told a briefing on August 8.

As UNIAN reported earlier, on June 27, Ukrainian government institutions, facilities of financial, energy and transport sectors, as well as private enterprises, underwent a massive cyber attack via the Petya.A ransomware, which blocked operations of individual PCs and computer networks.

Ukrainian cyber police continue the investigation into the details of the latest attack, stressing that it was Russian-speaking hackers who stood behind it.
