Kyiv hosts military parade on Independence Day (Photo)

A military parade on the occasion of the 26th anniversary of Ukraine's independence was held on Kyiv's Khreshchatyk Street on August 24, according to an UNIAN correspondent.

Participants and veterans of the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) in eastern Ukraine, as well as Lyceum students and cadets of higher military institutions, took part in the parade.

Moreover, a combined battalion of the Land Forces of Ukraine, marines, highly mobile landing forces, tankmen, special operations forces, scouts, signalers, the National Guard troops, border guards, a combined unit of the Security Service of Ukraine, and servicemen of a separate presidential regiment marched along Khreshchatyk Street.
