Russia plans to build 50-km fence on Crimea’s "border" with mainland Ukraine

The plan aims at “ensuring the republic’s security,” TASS wrote.

The construction will cost more than RUB 200 million ($3.4 million) while the works are expected to be completed as early as this year, according to the website detailing the government procurement.

The fence should be resistant to difficult climate conditions (including humidity up to 98% and temperature up to 65 degrees Celsius). The winner will be announced in mid-October.
