Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine, chief military prosecutor Anatoliy Matios says that every Ukrainian should have the right to bear firearms to protect their lives, 112 TV channel reports.
"The times are very dynamic these days. I adhere to the principle that every Ukrainian should have a weapon and be able to preserve or protect their lives in case troubled times come," he told 112 Ukraine TV channel.
Matios confirmed that he kept a service weapon since his status of a military serviceman gives him such right.
