Ukrainian engineers have managed to significantly increase the weapon’s accuracy to defeat highly maneuverable targets.
State-run arms giant Ukroboronprom is preparing for a serial upgrade of the S-125M "Pechora" air defense missile system, according to Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko.
"State Concern Ukroboronprom continues to develop anti-aircraft defense equipment for the Armed Forces. The upgraded S-125M Pechora air defense missile system recently saw successful tests,” said a posting on Petro Poroshenko’s Facebook page.

"Ukrainian specialists managed to significantly increase the accuracy of targeting and defeating highly maneuverable targets, " he added. "Now the enterprise is preparing for a serial modernization of such missiles. We continue boosting defense capabilities of the AFU [Armed Forces of Ukraine]!" said Poroshenko.
