Chernivtsi region is in the lead.
In Ukraine, 1,676 health care workers have tested positive for the novel coronavirus as of today, 101 new cases were registered in the past 24 hours.
"The total number of health care workers infected with COVID-19 as of this morning is 1,676 people. The largest number of them are in Chernivtsi, Ternopil and Rivne regions," Ukrainian Health Minister Maksym Stepanov said during an online briefing on April 26, according to an UNIAN correspondent.

In particular, 101 health care workers tested positive the past 24 hours, the Health Ministry said in an update on April 26.
According to Stepanov, Chernivtsi region is in the lead because the region has seen the highest number of confirmed coronavirus cases.
In addition, the minister said, Chernivtsi region was the first where COVID-19 cases were registered in large numbers.
As UNIAN reported earlier, there were 8,617 laboratory-confirmed coronavirus cases, including 209 deaths, in Ukraine as of 09:30 a.m. Kyiv time on April 26.
