Ukraine's Health Ministry has reported 492 new coronavirus cases were confirmed in the past day.

"According to the Public Health Center, there were 8,617 laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ukraine as of 09:30 a.m. Kyiv time on April 26," the Ukrainian Health Ministry said on Facebook on Sunday. "Of them, there were 209 deaths, 840 patients have recovered. Some 492 new cases were recorded in the past 24 hours."

As of now the coronavirus has been recorded in the following regions: Vinnytsia region (388 cases); Volyn region (241); Dnipropetrovsk region (292); Donetsk region (29); Zhytomyr region (348); Zakarpattia region (329); Zaporizhia (182); Ivano-Frankivsk region (731); Kirovohrad region (323); the city of Kyiv (1,188) and Kyiv region (542); Lviv region (348); Luhansk region (29); Mykolaiv region (111); Odesa region (220); Poltava region (172); Rivne region (508); Sumy region (95); Ternopil region (607); Kharkiv region (147); Kherson region (87); Khmelnytsky region (70 ); Chernivtsi region (1,341); Cherkasy region (257); and Chernihiv region (32).

Data from Russia-occupied areas – the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the city of Sevastopol, parts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions – is not available.
