Ukraine said 5,231 new active COVID-19 cases had been confirmed across the country in the past 24 hours as of October 18, 2020.
The total number of confirmed cases grew to 298,872 as of October 18, 2020, according to the interactive map of the National Security and Defense Council.
As many as 125,377 patients, including 1,264 in the past day, have recovered.

The government reported 167,888 active cases as of October 18. In total, there have been 368,712 reports on suspected COVID-19 since the beginning of 2020.
The highest number of new confirmed cases in the past 24 hours was registered in the city of Kyiv, Kharkiv, Lviv, Odesa, and Chernivtsi regions.
