The total number of confirmed cases grew to 81,957, according to the interactive map of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.
As many as 44,359 patients, including 387 in the past day, have recovered.
The pandemic has taken 1,922 lives with 25 fatalities recorded over the past day.
In total, 1,179,434 polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests have been run since the pandemic start.
As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukraine on August 9 reported 1,199 new COVID-19 cases.
