The U.S. State Department said on Tuesday that a new law allowing Russia’s Justice Ministry to list foreign media outlets as “foreign agents” posed a threat to free press and it urged Moscow not to use the measure to tighten control over the media, Reuters reports.
The U.S. Department of State says the issue of potential provision of lethal defensive weapons to Ukraine is not on today’s agenda but Washington does not rule out that the situation will change, that’s according to Heather Nauert, the Department’s spokesperson.
