Poroshenko says almost 90% of fortifications in Donbas are ready / Photo from UNIAN
The average level of completion of the fortification facilities being built in Donetsk region is 87%, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said at a meeting with activists of Donetsk region on Thursday.
"The average rate of [fortifications construction] readiness on schedule is 87%," he said.
Having inspected some of the fortification facilities on Thursday, Poroshenko said that about 300 facilities were planned to be built. A hundred of them are ready now. Both the Armed Forces of Ukraine and regional administrations are involved in the project. All the 21 regional state administrations in Ukraine have been tasked with their certain piece of work.
