Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko says that the implementation of the Minsk peace agreements may fail because of the intensification of hostilities by Russia and Russian-backed militants along a long stretch of the front in eastern Ukraine.
"The intensification of hostilities by the Russian Federation and Russian-backed terrorist gangs along a considerable stretch of the front endangers the Minsk agreements we have pinned and continue to pin all our hopes on in the restoration of a peaceful life in Donbas," the president said during a meeting with activists of Donetsk region on Thursday, an UNIAN correspondent reported.
