At the briefing, Talalay disclosed plans and objectives of the sixth wave of mobilization.

"The main task of the sixth wave of partial mobilization is to ensure the rotation of personnel who were called up last year during the third wave of partial mobilization, to ensure full manning of incomplete existing and new military units. Mobilization events will last for 60 days, until August 17," he said.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the sixth wave of Ukraine's partial mobilization officially started on June 18.

According to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, it will involve citizens of Ukraine who have not previously served in the military. The Ukrainian army needs specialists for acquisition of highly mobile airborne troops, intelligence, mechanized and armored units, as well as specialists of repair specialties, drivers and military engineers.

Chief military prosecutor of Ukraine Anatoliy Matios predicted that the sixth wave of mobilization would involve 50,000 people.
