Ministry of Information Policy calls provocation info on "paratroopers from Orenburg"

A statement by Russian mercenaries of the Donetsk People’s Republic militant organization about them being part of the airborne brigade of the Russian Federation can be a special information operation aimed at discrediting the Ukrainian media and the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) to Ukraine, the "Information troops" project of the Ministry of Information Policy reported on Facebook on Tuesday.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! UAA1 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"With regard to the information in the OSCE SMM report of August 2 that one of the armed terrorists named himself and other Russian mercenaries ‘part of the 16th airborne brigade from Orenburg’: such unit does not exist," the report reads.

It is also reported that it could be either a planned special information operation to discredit the Ukrainian media and the OSCE SMM, or the stupidity of Russian terrorists.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the OSCE SMM to Ukraine, while visiting areas where heavy weaponry was located after withdrawal from the contact line, had spotted Russian troops who were guarding military hardware.

"An armed man guarding the facility at one of the sites claimed that he and those present at the site were part of the 16th airborne brigade from Orenburg, Russian Federation," the OSCE SMM reported.
