Ukrainian servicemen wounded in the Anti-Terrorist Operation will be sent for treatment to Germany, German Embassy to Ukraine reported on Monday, August 17, according to Deutsche Welle Russian news service.
A group of four doctors from Bundeswehr hospital arrived in Ukraine on August 16 to prepare Ukrainian soldiers for transportation to Germany. The report does not specify the number of soldiers to be sent for treatment.

In addition, in March 2014 a total of 24 activists wounded during the Maidan uprising were sent for treatment to Germany. In September of the same year, 20 Ukrainian soldiers were treated in German clinics, and in March 2015 - another 17 troops wounded during the conflict in the country's east were taken to German hospitals for treatment.
