Russian proxies attack Ukrainian troops once overnight

The combined Russian-separatist forces attacked Ukrainian army positions in eastern Ukraine once overnight, the press center of the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) wrote on Facebook on Monday.

"The situation in the Donbas conflict zone was calm in the last day as the Russian proxies were virtually observing the ceasefire. At 10:45 Kyiv time on Sunday, the militants located two kilometers from the village of Hranitne in the Mariupol sector started firing in the direction of the demarcation line, using an automatic grenade launcher," the report says.

"The fact that the militants did not shell Ukrainian positions and civilians in populated settlements allowed [the Ukrainian side] to successfully implement social and humanitarian projects," the headquarters says.

For example, the reconstruction of the water supply and repair to main roads have begun in the village of Berdianske with the assistance of civil-military cooperation groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

What is more, officers of the civil-military cooperation initiative brought more than five tonnes of coal to the village of Oleksiivka in Donetsk region, where one of the ATO units is stationed.
