Russian occupiers limit public employees' travel from occupied Donbas to Ukraine – Def. Ministry

Press secretary of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry Dmytro Hutsuliak has said the Russian occupation administration has limited travel for people working in the so-called local government and other public employees in the temporarily occupied areas of Donbas to the territory controlled by Ukraine, according to an UNIAN correspondent.

"According to the Defense Ministry's Main Intelligence Directorate, to prevent a further decline in public confidence in the temporarily occupied areas of Donbas, the Russian-occupation administration has limited the possibility of travel to the territory controlled by Ukraine for people who work in the so-called local government and public employees," he said at a briefing on Friday, January 19.

"Those who refused to sign the documents are being included in acts that will be sent to illegitimate [Russian-controlled] law-enforcement agencies. Such measures by the occupation authorities outrage public workers and some of them are forced to resign," Hutsuliak added.
