According to the court, he became part of an armed unit, was enlisted as a serviceman, provided with uniform, light weapons and ammunition.

As UNIAN reported earlier, eight Moldovan citizens were sentenced to prison terms for fighting on the side of pro-Russian militants in the conflict in eastern Ukraine. Another 25 Moldovans remain on the international wanted list.
