The draft resolution on preventing an agreement with Iran on its nuclear program was presented in the House of Representatives on Tuesday, August 4, according to the official website of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs.
"Today, U.S. Rep. Ed Royce (R-CA), Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, introduced H.J.Res. 64, legislation that would prevent the implementation of the Obama Administration’s nuclear agreement with Iran," the report says.
As UNIAN reported earlier, six major world powers and Iran reached a nuclear deal in Vienna on Tuesday.
Under the deal, sanctions imposed by the United States, European Union and United Nations would be lifted in return for Iran agreeing long-term curbs on a nuclear program that the West has suspected was aimed at creating a nuclear bomb.
