Shiek of the Albu Nemr clan, Naim al-Gaood in Anbar province revealed on Monday that the ISIS organization executed 70 people from his own tribe after being kidnapped north of Ramadi, demanding that Prime Minister of Iraq Haider al-Abadi protect the people of Anbar from ISIS oppression and accelerate the liberalization of the province from those criminal and terrorist gangs for fear of another massacre, according to Shafaq News.
"The ISIS terrorist organization kidnapped and executed 70 people of the Albu Nemr clan in al-Thar area, north of Ramadi, on Sunday evening, noting that "the organization kidnapped them from the same area and executed them in it," Al-Gaood said in an interview with Shafaq News.
Al-Gaood added that "those executed are all civilians who are fathers and brothers to members of the army, the police and the Awakening forces," pointing out that "ISIS shot all of them."
This is not the first time that ISIS has carried out the execution of dozens of people from the Albu Nemr clan in Anbar, it has preceded the execution of dozens at the end of 2014 at the hands of the organization, and executed dozens at the beginning of 2015 in different parts of Anbar, according to al-Gaood.
As UNIAN reported earlier, the American-led coalition fighting the Islamic State has begun preparing to open a major front in northeastern Syria, aiming to put pressure on Raqqa, the terrorist group's de facto capital.
